The Arab Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (AMCC) was pleased to host a successful courtesy meeting with the delegation from Yemen on 11 May 2026 at the Chamber’s office in Kuala Lumpur. The meeting served as an important platform to strengthen economic relations and explore future collaboration opportunities between Yemen and Malaysia, particularly in trade development, market expansion, and business connectivity within the South Asian region.
During the session, the delegation, represented by SMEPS, introduced a variety of Yemeni products and highlighted their strong interest in identifying potential buyers, distributors, and strategic partners in Malaysia and the wider South Asian market. A special focus was placed on Yemen’s premium coffee products, which follow high international quality standards and carry significant potential for global expansion.
The discussion also covered possible guidance and market-entry support to help Yemeni businesses expand their commercial presence regionally while strengthening bilateral business cooperation and investment opportunities.
The session also included Mr. Amr Thabet, a member of the Thabet Group in Malaysia and an active member of AMCC, who was present to assist the delegation through his expertise and experience as a Malaysian resident and business leader with strong understanding of the local and regional business landscape.
Representing the Chamber during the meeting were AMCC Vice President Mr. Alaa Husni, AMCC Vice President Puan Amnah Shaari, and Mrs. Nour Thabet, Business Development Manager of AMCC.
AMCC remains committed to supporting cross-border collaborations, strengthening Arab–Malaysia economic relations, and creating valuable business opportunities for both regions through strategic engagement, networking, and trade facilitation initiatives.
