Date: 9 th July 2025 Time: [11:30 am] to [12:30] Venue: Embassy of Kuwait, Kuala Lumpur from the left (Puan Amnah Alshaari - Vice Prisedent of AMCC) , (H.E Rashed Mohammed Rashed AlSaleh - Ambassador of The State of Kuwait in Malaysia) The Arab Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (AMCC) paid a courtesy visit to the Embassy of Kuwait with the objective of strengthening bilateral relations and exploring potential opportunities for collaboration between Malaysia and Kuwait. The meeting began with an introduction to AMCC, highlighting its establishment, achievements, and services offered to its members. Discussions focused on identifying possible areas of trade and investment cooperation between the two countries. H.E [Ambassador’s Name] proudly shared that Kuwait was among the first Arab countries to collaborate with Malaysia through the establishment of the Malaysia Kuwait Investment Company (MKIC), a joint venture between both governments incorporated on 6 September 1980. The Ambassador expressed his strong support for AMCC’s upcoming initiatives and welcomed the opportunity for the Embassy of Kuwait to participate in future events, reaffirming the commitment to foster closer ties and mutual support. The meeting concluded on a positive note with an agreement to maintain close communication and explore further avenues for partnership.

The meeting began with an introduction to AMCC, its mission, achievements, and services provided to members. Discussions focused on possible areas where AMCC could contribute to rebuilding Syria, noting high demand across various sectors. However, it was mutually agreed to postpone active involvement due to existing sanctions and unclear regulations until the situation allows further engagement. To maintain momentum, AMCC proposed organizing an online business consultation session for Syrian companies abroad, particularly those recommended by the Embassy. This session will focus on business collaboration with Malaysian companies, company formation in Malaysia, export facilitation, and related services. Mr. Mhd Ghiath Ibrahim expressed his support for AMCC initiatives and offered to connect AMCC with Syrian-owned businesses in Malaysia to explore immediate collaboration opportunities. Both parties also discussed the possibility of holding a small introductory event to present AMCC’s services to Syrian entrepreneurs in Malaysia.

Our discussion is surrounding having IANOR as our partner for an upcoming Reverse Linkage project. 19 May 2025 | PA interviewed by Algerian TV 4 (La Chaine 4) to talk about Halal and Serunai's work with Islamic Development Bank. 20 May 2025 | With Datuk Johan Merican, Secretary General of Treasury at Malaysia's Ministry of Finance, he remembered Serunai as the IsDB Reverse Linkage Partner that champions Halal globally.
