The Arab Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (AMCC) held a courtesy meeting with the Embassy of Syria to explore potential cooperation and support in Syria’s reconstruction efforts.

The meeting began with an introduction to AMCC, its mission, achievements, and services provided to members. Discussions focused on possible areas where AMCC could contribute to rebuilding Syria, noting high demand across various sectors. However, it was mutually agreed to postpone active involvement due to existing sanctions and unclear regulations until the situation allows further engagement.

To maintain momentum, AMCC proposed organizing an online business consultation session for Syrian companies abroad, particularly those recommended by the Embassy. This session will focus on business collaboration with Malaysian companies, company formation in Malaysia, export facilitation, and related services.

Mr. Mhd Ghiath Ibrahim expressed his support for AMCC initiatives and offered to connect AMCC with Syrian-owned businesses in Malaysia to explore immediate collaboration opportunities. Both parties also discussed the possibility of holding a small introductory event to present AMCC’s services to Syrian entrepreneurs in Malaysia.
